MYLAI MASSACRE
Full day tour from Hoian or Danang
INTRODUCTION
The Mylai Massacre ( 145 Km south of Hoian / Danang ) was a mass-killing by American soldiers of hundreds of unarmed Vietnamese civilians, mostly women and children, on March 16, 1968, during the Vietnam War.
Becoming a symbol of US-American war crimes in Vietnam, it prompted widespread outrage around the world and reduced public support for the war in the United States
ITINERARY
We start the journey at 07:30 from your hotel in Hoian or Danang& drive to Quang Ngai. On the way, we will make s short stop for pictures at Chien Dan Towers - a group of three towers built by the Cham people in the 11th or 12th century and dedicated to three deities of the Champa Kingdom: Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. Then we drive pass Chu Lai - an American Navy Base used from 1964 - 1971 during the Vietnam War ( As it is a Restricted Area, no tourist is allowed to stop for pictures at Chu Lai today ).
We arrive at My Lai around 10:30 Am & begin our visit by watching the Video about The Mylai Massacre, then spend 03 hours to see the whole village. We will have lunch in some local restaurant in Quang Ngai City before driving back to Hoian.
Tour end at your hotel at about 5 pm.
